ELIGA-LED-Coloured-Lights are suitable for use in commercial sauna cabins!
Recent statements from commercial sauna companies and sauna manufacturers have indicated that up-to-date, modern LED technology regarding coloured lighting is not suitable for prolonged usage in commercial sauna cabins. The company ELSÄSSER GmbH, located in Augsburg, with its experience of over 100 years as specialist supplier of ELIGA-sauna technology, would like to clarify that its highly-developed ELIGA-Sauna-LED-Lights, produced in Germany, are more than suitable for long-lasting, durable use in commercial sauna cabins! All ELIGA-LED-Coloured-Lighting-Systems are produced with special, temperature-resistant trademark LEDs! Those electronic components which are sensitive to heat are to be found in a control device outside of the sauna cabin. Due to the high luminosity of the LED lights, the latest ELIGA-LED-Coloured-Lights also consume 65 % lesser electricity than conventional light bulbs.
ELIGA-LED-Coloured-Lighting-Systems from the company ELSÄSSER GmbH are offered with a temperature-resistant pushbutton which is used to programme the choice of colours within the sauna room. Furthermore, it can be controlled by a patent-pending radio remote control. Its advantage over infra-red remote controls is that it functions through walls without intervisibility to the coloured lighting system, as well as being able to operate multiple LED lights or LED-starry sky projectors of the make ELIGA within a radius of up to 30 m (depending on the building’s construction). With ELIGA-LED-Coloured-Lights, 12 luminously-intense colours can be controlled separatly or with a continuous colour sequence in different time cycles.

Annoying – open standing doors in commercial saunas cause additional energy costs and unhappy visitors!
Solution for glass doors: innovative self-closing door hinges made by the company Elsässer GmbH, located in Augsburg
The former managing director of the company Elsässer GmbH, Mr. Rainer Hahn, developed innovative, patented self-closing door hinges. These are sold under the brand name “ELIGA-Top”. The ELIGA-Top-door hinge models “Modern Art, Long Form, Tongue and Angled Form” can be provided with this special screw-on band. The especially designed screw-on band of the self-closing door hinge is covertly fixed in the door rabbet without that the technique behind it would affect the visual appearance. Thus a smaller size and lower weight of ELIGA-Top-door hinges, compared to competitor’s models, are attained. Beside the surface coating matt-chrome, some models are produced in series with a brown coating as well. Higher quantities can be produced in special coloured-coatings on request.
The new self-closing ELIGA-Top-door hinges with a self-closing range of up to 140° offer numerous advantages and make sure that the hot sauna cabin and the anteroom are thermally separated (except for the short opening/closing process). Therefore it will never happen again that a door is not closed properly respectively remains open because of a careless visitor. The door glides smoothly back into its closed position within the door frame. No sauna heat escapes which would have to be generated again while taking a lot of time and energy costs! There is furthermore no need of an additional closing arm fixed to the door frame, which is nowadays often used with wooden and glass doors. The door remains static within an opening range of about 140° to 180° during cleaning and cooling periods.
The same glass door bores as are applied to all ELIGA-Standard hinges work for the self-closing ELIGA-Top-door hinges as well. The door’s height and width can also be shifted via the utility-model-protected, adjustable eccentric, in case that the doors sink by and by. A particular advantage of the self-closing ELIGA-Top-door hinges is that the glass door leaf can be fitted flushed directly with the floor as it is lifted slightly by the movement when opening the door. So the glass door pane does not sink as you often get to see with customary doors!
The new self-closing ELIGA-Top-door hinges stand out due to the stable construction made of non-corrosive zinc die-casting and the thread pins and other parts made of especially hardened stainless steel. The weight-bearing capacity of the self-closing ELIGA-Top-door hinges is, as per the standard hinges, 20-30 kg depending on the model.
New at Elsässer: All-natural menthol crystals for an intensive infusion
The company Elsässer extends its wide range of ELIGA-accessories for sauna and wellness with the new menthol crystals, sold in sales packagings containing 60 ml (35 g) suitable for private use. The menthol crystals are extracted through the freezing of 100 % all-natural mint oil originated in Asia. Few crystals are sufficient for an intensive, long-lasting scent which refreshes and cools skin and airways. The crystals are to be placed at the hot sauna stones by using the ladle or added to the infusion water. For commercial use bigger portions are available on request.
